Spend a day exploring the trees of Glastonbury with a small group of like-minded nature lovers.
We’ll meet at 10am and take the morning to explore the countryside around the Tor, learning about the trees and how to identify them. We’ll make offerings to the land and sing songs to the trees, while making our way to meet the ancient oaks and arriving at Middlewick for lunch and relaxation.
The afternoon will involve a to visit some of Glastonbury’s lesser known Coombes and beautiful spaces as we test our tree identification knowledge and collaborate on some creative activities that will help us to retain what we have learned.
The walk will move through some places of outstanding natural beauty, we aim to learn how to identify a handful of our native tree species. We’ll spend time interacting, being creative, but also being quiet and enjoying some peaceful time connecting to the trees and natural spaces. We’ll finish up at around 5 having walked back via Glastonbury Cemetery.
