About Matt
Matt Witt is an artist, musician, and nature enthusiast with a particular interest in trees. Originally from Salisbury, Matt found his way to Glastonbury via London, drawn by its heritage, landscapes, unique community. He is held here by a continued dialogue and creative collaboration with the land and its arboreal residents.
Matt’s happy place is in the fields and woods being inspired by nature and translating this inspiration into nuggets of poetry and song that he shares with walkers and audiences online. To share knowledge of this landscape, its nature, and trees is, for Matt, a dream come true. The tree walks are an invitation to step into his shoes and take an adventure across a land with which he has grown intimately familiar.
Avalon is alive, and ready to collaborate with those whose senses are open. This island is an artwork that reveals more of itself the closer one looks, and uncovers more of oneself the deeper one journeys.
