Join Matt for your own personal tour of Glastonbury, guided by the trees. We’ll navigate the hills of Glastonbury, visiting the prominent landmarks, and popular tourist locations. Matt will talk about the trees from an ecological, creative and cultural perspective, touching on folklore, history and spirituality, as well as providing some practical tree ident basics. This is not just a tree tour, Matt also provides a historical and spiritual context and weaves in nature inspired poetry and spoken word. About your guide

Matt is a local poet and musician. A resident of Glastonbury for 12 years he has lead tours in the area for 6 years. Matt leads individuals, couples, small and large groups into the Glastonbury landscape for short excursions. During the tours, Matt talks about the trees from a creative, cultural, and spiritual perspective, he loves taking inspiration from nature, and is most at home in the fields, woods, and lanes of Glastonbury.

He can provide formal tuition on tree identification and also works in themes of spirituality, creativity, local folklore, the history of Glastonbury, the mysteries of Avalon, myth legends, and how this is all tied together by the natural history and the lay of the landscape of Avalon.
